Shunya literally means “zero”, “nothing” or “emptiness”. In spiritual and philosophical traditions, it is a lofty and profound concept that is connected to the highest state of pure consciousness, transcending all form and mind.
Our ordinary human lives are spent striving and acquiring things, whether it be degrees, money, possessions or fame. We even acquire immaterial baggage such as unyielding opinions and beliefs. Once we acquire these things, we strive even harder to not lose them.
What a way to live!
The simple fact is, we enter into life with nothing and must by natural law, leave with nothing. When, by the continual process of letting go, we strip away our being to its core essence, what are we left with?
In my view, there is great beauty in “being nothing”. Nothing is what we all truly have in common. It connects us to every part of creation. It is in fact the fabric of creation. Everything emanates from Nothing.
Nothing goes by various names. Some call it the Creator or God, others call it Universal Consciousness.
For me, it’s nothing more than Pure Love.

That’s a question I first started asking myself at 7 years old and is still a work in progress. As I see it, what matters is not me but what I can offer by means of love and service to others. My intention is to share from heart and soul. If it turns out to inspire or help somebody else, that would be a bonus. The plan is to just write spontaneously and see what unfolds!
When someone chooses to share certain personal experiences and realisations, they may be met with a degree of skepticism. This is perfectly understandable, and had I not witnessed such things directly, I too would have felt the same. One valuable lesson I’ve learnt in life is that the only person we can and need to change is ourselves. There is no need to impose one’s views on another or try to justify that our way is the way. If anyone resonates with the message, they will be drawn to it at precisely the right time in their journey.
As far as the Divine is concerned, there are as many paths to the Divine as there are souls on this earth, so let’s focus on ours 🙂

These poems are usually written as a result of spontaneous inspiration, often at the most inopportune times. I have promised myself to be better at writing things down as they come!

Composed of nothing, yet of which all else is sure composed. It stands supreme, beyond all dreams, eternally
reposed.

Although I met my guru physically in 2019 at the age of 26, my spiritual quest has been an ongoing one since childhood. Over time, my writing may naturally unfold the events and experiences that culminated in this meeting. Finding Gurunath, for me, was like having the thirst of a million years quenched. In the brief period since meeting him and getting initiated into Kundalini Kriya Yoga, I’ve experienced a seismic shift in my consciousness, mindset and heart. Numerous healings and spiritual experiences took place by divine grace, which continue to help me find the way, connecting the dots of my past in the process.
As a true Himalayan Master, Gurunath selflessly devotes his life to helping souls find Self Peace in order for humanity to collectively achieve Earth Peace.
With the direct blessing of his Guru, the great Mahavatar Babaji (from Autobiography of a Yogi), he carries out his mission through 3 distinct ways:
